humans weren't born perfect - in fact, we're all imperfect.
when God created humans, he didn't create them perfectly.

so, i always ask this question - humans are never perfect, and in fact, most of us have a bad past. a figment, that we've all learned from. when we realised just how fugly our past is, we just want to move forward in life... and then change for the better. (let me emphasize, again - BETTER).

and better, in my context, is being a more useful person to family, friends and, as a whole, society. most importantly - a better Muslim person.

but when a person wants to change, why do we turn so judgemental?

to see the bigger picture, here what it is - a person (who had a bad past) wants to change, and is very willing to. but people around them just turn skeptical, and in the worst case, judgemental (suddenly it feels like i'm saying the "F" word). this gives the person "DISCOURAGEMENT" instead.

and aren't we supposed to help others who wants to change for the better? instead of putting them down, and judging their present, based on their past?

worst still, they twist and use religion as a strong case.

geez, people... geez. i really don't know what else to say. why can't we be compassionate and humane, and help? reaching out to those who are in need? instead of dissing them outrightly?
